🥘 Ingredients

Ingredients for Quorn chilli con carne.
  • Quorn Mince - you'll need 500g of frozen quorn mince.
  • Olive Oil
  • Onion - 1 white onion finely chopped (or use a red onion instead).
  • Garlic - 2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped.
  • Red Pepper - deseeded and sliced into strips.
  • Spices - chilli powder, smoked paprika, cumin, ground coriander, and oregano.
  • Tin of Tomato Soup - gives the chilli a slight sweetness which my kids really like. You can use a tin of chopped tomatoes or passata instead if you prefer.
  • Tin of Kidney Beans in Chilli Sauce - or use a tin of kidney beans in water (drained).
  • Worcestershire Sauce (or vegetarian alternative) - adds a delicious savoury flavour to the dish.
  • Salt, Pepper, Sriracha Sauce and Coriander to serve

One: Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion, garlic and red pepper strips for 4-5 minutes.

Two: Add the frozen Quorn mince and continue to cook for a further 5 minutes until defrosted, stirring often to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Three: Stir in the spices.
